Abstract:
S/B in the SHMS is poor in these kinematics, but it looks like the HODO 3/4 trigger is clean-ish with perhaps only O(10)% accidentals. For tracking effi determinations in the SHMS, the HODO 3/4 trigger could be pimped with a beta cut that doesn't use tracking information, and/or by requiring an in-time hit in the calorimeter with a low energy threshold. (The scalers suggest the efficiency for PRLO for hadrons is quite respectable.)
