Gen01 Analyzer Engine Setup Instructions

To create a working setup, follow these steps:

even quicker and easier -- if you are at Jlab

create a new directory in which you want to set up your replay
change into this new directory
execute this script to copy the up-to-date runtime and source code, as well as the latest pre-compiles executables:

/group/e93026/analyzer/setmeup
edit the setup scripts to reflect the actual replay directory you created (as prompted!) and make the desired changes to ./replay/REPLAY.PARM (again, as prompted!)

change to the directory where you want to set up your replay
copy the runtime directory structure
or
copy the latest exectuables (platform = 'SunOS' or 'Linux')
edit ./replay/REPLAY.PARM to reflect the actual replay directory and the desired data source location

download the latest RUNTIME distribution TAR file and gunzip and untar it in the desired location(!), with the command
or, in case this doesn't work (SUN?),
followed by
download the latest executable for your platform (into your ./replay directory) or roll your own (see below).
Currently, only SunOS and Linux are supported!!!
(OPTIONAL) if you want to, or plan to compile your own executable, download (or copy) the Csoft distribution and place it in a suitable directory -- gunzip/untar it as you did with RUNTIME. Be sure to update the file location in the next step!
examine the files REPLAY.PARM and replayup_platform and adjust the paths and file locations as needed, then execute
(OPTIONAL) to compile your own executable, first download (copy) the latest SOURCE distribution and gunzip/untar it (inside ./replay) then change into the new SRC directory and execute
afterwards, move the resulting executables
and
into the ./replay directory
