keyword=Luminosity: Scan1 - includes new tracking code
The data from the 1st luminosity scan including the tracking code upgrades. The data was taken at beam currents of 30, 50, 70 and 90 uA for LH2, LD2, Carbon and Aluminum. In the figures below the data is normalized to I=30uA.
For the HMS tracking based analysis the following cuts were used:
hcer>0.5
abs(hsdelta)<8.5
abs(hsxptar)<0.09
abs(hsyptar)<0.05
abs(hsytar)<1.5
The normalized yields were determined from the product of HMS singles and prescale factor normalized by the effective charge, where Q_eff is calculated from the product of the total charge, corrected for the beam on time, and the efficiencies (fid tracking, cpu and electronic lifetimes). The lifetimes are calculated as follows:
eff_cpu = HMSTRG/HMSPRE
eff_ele = 6/5 (hPRE100 - hPRE150) / hPRE100
For completeness the scaler based analysis is included as well.
The data suggests that there is no significant slope for carbon. However, the behaviour of the datapoint at 90 uA requires further investigation. Both hydrogen and deuterium data show a significant slope, which seems to be correlated with rate. Note the errors shown are statistical only.
