    NEW SIMC RELEASE: 09/30/98.

This version has mostly some small bug fixes, but also one or two real changes:

New Ntuples: The ntuples now include the generated values for delta,theta,phi...
so that the input range can be checked with decay. In addition, the fast raster
vertical position is included in the ntuple and the raster-based reconstruction
is being done for the HMS only. The SOS MEs we have do not include raster corrections.

Chris Armstrong's modified elastic form factor code has been included.

Fixed a few bugs. Removed the inttail_mode flag (which was unused in the code).

    NOTES:

This version, as well as the previous one, calculated the path length thru the
magnets (and in the field-free regions) event by event. However, the decdist
variable in the ntuple does NOT show the full path length. Just the central path
length up to the z-position where the particle decays.

By default, one_tail is set to -3. This does electron radiation (before and after)
but not hadron radiation. If this flag is set to zero, pion radiation will be included,
but the hadron radiation is done as if you had a proton of mass 140 MeV.

Currently the mean (or most probable?) energy loss is included event-by-event, based
on the true position of the interaction. The mean (most prob?) energy loss is
corrected for after reconstruction, assuming that the scattering occured at the
center of the target. If this is how energy loss is handled in the engine, then
it's ok. If not, you may need to change it. In addition, for the energy loss

event-by-event, we should pick from the energy loss distribution, rather than taking

the mean energy loss. Jochen is looking into these details.
