Checklist

This page is for developing a pre-run checklist for the experiment. To see the checklist that was used for the 2005 HKS experiment, click on history and look at the first revision.

• Power supplies: All magnet power supply doors are closed and properly interlocked

  3. Splitter

• HES detector hut upper level
  1. Ethane detectors installed and functional OR ethane flow to wire chambers disabled.
  2. Exit window expose area left covered.
  3. Exit window expose area right covered.
  4. All Magnet current leads covered by non-conducting or grounded shields.
  5. All of above shields equipped with proper warning signs.
  6. No tools or other loose material in/on/around honeycomb drift chamber or scintillators.
  7. Visual inspection of exit window.
  8. All covers removed from HDC.
  9. Static magnetic field warning signs posted.
  10. Hearing protection available and warning signs posted.

• Electronics bunker
  1. All power leads of fastbus power supply and crate covered by shields

• HKS detector hut upper level
  1. Ethane detectors installed and functional OR ethane flow to wire chambers disabled.
  2. Hearing protection available and warning signs posted.
  3. Visual inspection of exit window (need to wear above hearing protection).
  4. Date for window replacement not expired or close to expiring.
  5. All covers removed from DC1 and DC2.
  6. Static magnetic field warning signs posted.

• HKS detector hut lower level
  1. All power leads of fastbus power supply and crate covered by shields

• Splitter \& Target Level
  1. All safety rails instaled.
  2. Slit motors connected
  3. Functioning magnet warning beacon.
  4. All Magnet current leads covered by non-conducting or grounded shields.
  5. Area clean and no tools or materials left on platform.
  6. Static magnetic field warning signs posted.

• Hall C counting room
  1. All power leads of fastbus power supplies covered by shields
  2. Electronic logbook operational
  3. Clear paths to doors

• General Hall
  1. All Run/Safe boxes accessible
  2. No cables/wires running on floor or dangling in areas where people walk
