This page is for developing a pre-run checklist for the experiment. To see the checklist that was used for the 2005 HKS experiment, click on history and look at the first revision.
- Power supplies: All magnet power supply doors are closed and properly interlocked
- HES dipole ( ) Q1 ( ) Q2 ( )
- HKS dipole ( ) Q1 ( ) Q2 ( )
- Splitter
- HES detector hut upper level
- Ethane detectors installed and functional OR ethane flow to wire chambers disabled.
- Exit window expose area left covered.
- Exit window expose area right covered.
- All Magnet current leads covered by non-conducting or grounded shields.
- All of above shields equipped with proper warning signs.
- No tools or other loose material in/on/around honeycomb drift chamber or scintillators.
- Visual inspection of exit window.
- All covers removed from HDC.
- Static magnetic field warning signs posted.
- Hearing protection available and warning signs posted.
- Electronics bunker
- All power leads of fastbus power supply and crate covered by shields
- HKS detector hut upper level
- Ethane detectors installed and functional OR ethane flow to wire chambers disabled.
- Hearing protection available and warning signs posted.
- Visual inspection of exit window (need to wear above hearing protection).
- Date for window replacement not expired or close to expiring.
- All covers removed from DC1 and DC2.
- Static magnetic field warning signs posted.
- HKS detector hut lower level
- All power leads of fastbus power supply and crate covered by shields
- Splitter \& Target Level
- All safety rails instaled.
- Slit motors connected
- Functioning magnet warning beacon.
- All Magnet current leads covered by non-conducting or grounded shields.
- Area clean and no tools or materials left on platform.
- Static magnetic field warning signs posted.
- Hall C counting room
- All power leads of fastbus power supplies covered by shields
- Electronic logbook operational
- Clear paths to doors
- General Hall
- All Run/Safe boxes accessible
- No cables/wires running on floor or dangling in areas where people walk
