keyword=dummy target Imax is 40 microA

Hamlet was justifiably nervous about running the Aluminum dummy target at 66 microA. (Note to target group: we want to take a look at the 15 cm dummy after the run to check for evidence of melting.) Although the present raster size is a bit larger than we normally use, we cannot exceed 40 microA unless someone provides a new calculation. (These limits are based on calculations and years of experience at melting targets. The MCC list is from Rolf. ) The MCC agreed that the administrative current limit for this Aluminum target is 40 microA and they will drop the current immediately.

The downside of this MORE-MORE-MORE philosophy is that if there's now a hole in the dummy target then continued "target empty" studies are a bloody waste of time. We would really like to stay out of the scattering chamber for a while.
