At 22:05 we noted that terminal connected to g0ana had stopped responding to keystrokes of any kind. This is a rack maounted machine in the Hall C counting house electronics room, and does not have a console attached.
This machine is responsible for the charge feedback system, as well as being the main machine, so we need it to continue normal running.
Consulted Paul King, and learned that it does have a journaled file system, and hit the reset switch on the front of the box. Now it seems to have returned to normal operation.
Someone with supervisor privledges should do a post mortum to learn what happened...
