Even if this doesn't happen tonight, here is a draft run plan for these measurements. We also need an updated low current BCM calibration with gain setting 5 based on the Faraday Cup. From the previous calibration results it does not seem necessary to go below ~ 80 nA, so something covering the range from ~100 nA to a few uA.
The currents may need to be lowered if the main detector rate is too high.
Dilution Factor
* EM bases in
* MD and scaler triggers only
* BCM gain to setting 5
* Fake 1Hz mps
* DAQ prescales set for ~500 Hz data rate -- take a test run to see if there are enough scaler events making it into the data stream, if not, increase mps to 10Hz, WE NEED GOOD SCALER DATA
* LH2 target in, 1 uA checked in Faraday Cup, 3.5x3.5 raster
* Use greenmonster to separate different run settings
Runs to take on LH2:
1. Fresh pedestals
2. QTOR Scan: 2(?) minutes at 8921, 8029, 8475, 8943, 8967, 8988, 9010, 9032, 9054, 8921
3. Current Scan (QTOR 8921): 2 minutes at ~1 uA, ~0.75 uA , ~0.5 uA, , 0.25 uA, get FC measurement for each point
4. FR Scan (QTOR 8921, back to ~1 uA): 2 minutes 3x3, 3.5x3.5, 4x4
5. Pedestal run
If we are not pressed for time we can increase the time for each run.
Dummy target measurements
* EM bases in
* MD and scaler triggers only
* BCM gain to setting 5
* Fake 1 or 10 Hz mps (still need good scaler data!)
* Use greenmonster to separate different run settings
Take runs on these targets in whatever order seems most reasonable to minimize horizontal motion, a few hundred nA (300 nA will lead to 750 kHz estimated rate/octant on 8% DS Aluminum) with 3.5x3.5 raster
1. 8% DS Al: 2 minutes, QTOR 8921
2. 4% DS Al: 2 minutes at QTOR 8029, 9445, 8921, 8943, 8967, 8988, 9010, 9032, 9054
3. 4% US Al: 2 minutes at QTOR 8921, 8943, 8967, 8988, 9010, 9032, 9054
4. 4% US Al Pure: 2 minutes at QTOR 8921, 8943, 8967, 8988, 9010, 9032, 9054
5. 2% US Al: 2 minutes at QTOR 8921, 8943, 8967, 8988, 9010, 9032, 9054
6. 1% US Al: 2 minutes at QTOR 8921, 8943, 8967, 8988, 9010, 9032, 9054
