    keyword=SOS ssxptar offset (partly) revealed

    Ketevi looked into Doug's plots of the sieve slit spectra for SOS and was astonished to see a big offset (4 mrad) in xptar.
    Explanation: the gconstants.param.jul96 had been updated in the ~cdaq/fpi/PARAM directory along with Ketevi's newer set of matrix elements (the phi offset should now be 0), but not in the /work/hallc/e93021/replay_online/PARAM directory which Doug used, in which the phi offset still is about 2.6 mrad. That explains most of it.

    It should be noted that analyzers should never trust the engine, however well (or not) it is maintained, but check these offset files - certainly, when one observes shifts of this kind!
