Current Status

• Jun 16 - Swing (yesterday)
  • Received up to 25 uA of beam and did Carbon Hole check Carbon Hole (Raster ON), Carbon Hole (Raster OFF)
  • started HMS optics studies

• Jun 17 - Owl (today)
  • limited to 15 uA beam due to accelerator issues (Ops will work on Hall C line today to try and give us higher currents)
  • completed the detector checkout part of run plan
  • while doing +/-8 cm C12 optics run plan, HMS Dipole interlocked (~ 4:30 am )
  • SHMS optics was taken instead in the meantime
  • towards the end of Owl, HMS Q2, Q2 Dipole had all went to interlock

• Jun 17 - Day (today)
  • S. Lassiter arrived and it currently in the Hall with Hall C techs working
    • HMS Q1, Q2 Dipole interlocks
    • HMS Dipole waterflow interlock explanation
    • HMS LCW snapshots of debris found
    • S. Lassiter ramped magnets back up and there seems to be OK now.

Current Run Plan

• Complete Carbon Foil +/- 8 cm (part of HMS Optics plan)
• Complete Single Carbon Foil on HMS
• Do Coincidence Trigger Checkout
• Do single Heep coin setting
• Begin production physics

Notices in Effect for Shift Crew

• Please pro-rate ABU for max current limit in run plan (uA) in beam time accounting. For example, if we receive 15 uA instead of the

max_current_limit in the run plan, then the ABU should be: ABU_prorated = 15/(max current limit) * ABU

Special Requests

• S. Lassiter needs to put crush washers in LCW filters, so we may see a little bit of water by the HMS boogie for now, until he can put the washers next week, during maintenance period HMS Dipole LCW
• Need to check SHMS ROC 4 Slot 9 Channel 0 FADC for potentially loose connection, as Column 5, Row 1 block appears to have no occupancy. SHMS Cal Occupancy
• Xinzhan Bai request to go to restricted access to quickly swap MPD electronics out and check signals (~ 30 min.), whenever there is extended down (most likely during next accelerator maintenance period) : Contact: xbai@jlab.org, cell: (434) 422-2809
