- Hall C in Restricted Access.
- SHMS and HMS magnets ramped to zero.
- SHMS and HMS HVs are off.
- Dave Meekins arrived at 8:30AM to begin warming up the target.
- Yesterday (12/18)
- Shortly after (12/18) Owl shift started, there was another PSS communication failure and Hall C suddenly dropped to restricted access.
- The tech on-call wasn't able to restore the system.
- The expert arrived at 8AM and made hardware replacements.
- Hall C back to beam permit at 12:30 PM.
- All hardware related to communication interface in the hall has been replaced. Radiation damage is the suspect.
- Smooth running on Setting 2 of high x HMS 35 degrees until beam was taken away at 7am as scheduled.
