Current Status
- All shifts are filled until SAD. Thanks Hakob!
- Shift Summaries
- Today (12/16)
- Currently in the second cycle of Setting 1 of HMS high x at 35 degrees.
- BCM calibration after this meeting if the unser offset is still behaving.
- Yesterday (12/15)
- BCM calibrations did not work, as the unser was saturated due to a large offset.
- Dave Mack came in and power cycled it.
- But it is misbehaving again this morning. Dave G cycled it and it should be okay now.
- Could the radiation from the Beam Energy Measurement mishap killed the unser UPS in the hall?
- PSS Failure: Hall C suddenly dropped to Restricted Access around 4pm.
- Hall Swept and Run-Save Boxes armed. Back to Beam permit around 5:30 PM.
- Unable to send stable 40uA beam until about 7:30 pm due to thunderstorms.
- Smooth data collection afterwards and through the night, although HMS CODA needed to be restarted once.
- BCM calibrations did not work, as the unser was saturated due to a large offset.
Current Run Plan
- BCM Calibration after this RC meeting
- Continue with run plan printed sheet. High x HMS at 35 degrees.
Notices in Effect for Shift Crew
- Continue to fill out SHMS excel sheet for good electrons .
- Keep SHMS prescaled rate below 8kHz.
Current Issues
- HMS Dipole NMR lock struggling to hold. Should be fine, as when it does lock for a few minutes at a time, it is reading back the correct field.
- Although it might make chaining to the next HMS momentum difficult.
- Unser offset issues may still be persisting. Dave Mack has been emailed about it.
Planned Accesses to the Hall
- I'm wondering if we may need to replace unser UPS in the hall. Waiting to hear back from Dave Mack on what he thinks.
