Summary

On Saturday (09/30) Day shift we did the configuration change to KinC-x50-2 setting and started the target boiling study (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4189670). MCC was troubleshooting the issues with the beam delivery to Hall A (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4189860), so the beam wasn't stable. By the end of the Day shift we managed to take target boiling data on LH2.

During the Swing there wasn't any beam during the first half of the shift. Once the beam was back we continued target boiling study and by the end of the shift took boiling data on LD2 (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4190041). MCC eventually found a solution to the issues with the beam delivery to Hall A (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4190044), so now it looks like they can support beam delivery to Halls A and C simultaneously.

During Sunday (10/01) Owl shift the beam was more or less stable. We had a few DAQ issues, but other than that ran smoothly. We took target boiling data on Carbon and proceeded to the Optics measurements (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4190122).

We will continue with the optics measurements today and maybe will take more elastic data if time permits. On Monday (10/02) Day shift we will move the NPS in order to proceed to actual production data taking.

There will be no RC meeting today.

Accelerator status

MCC eventually found a solution to the issues with the beam delivery to Hall A (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4189860 and https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4190044), so now it looks like they can support beam delivery to Halls A and C simultaneously.
