Summary
Tuesday (10/03) Day and Swing shifts we were smoothly taking production data on LH2, LD2, and dummy (see https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4191627 and https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4191867).
Late Swing we had an issue with the raster: Controlled access had to be taken to reboot the raster IOC (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4192024). The raster issue was resolved in the beginning of the Owl shift and we went back to production (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4192074). We also had a few DAQ issues in the morning.
The current plan is to continue running at the KinC_x50_2 production setting. We need to stay at this setting for the total 3 days of running. At the moment we are still optimizing the parameters of the production running (beam currents, thresholds, efficiency, etc.) in order to have better control of the rates and to balance the rates on LH2 and LD2.
We will have an RC meeting today at 11 a.m.
Run plan
The run plan is available here: https://hallcweb.jlab.org/wiki/index.php/Short_Term_Run-Plan
Note the simplified table of the upstream and downstream corrector currents vs. SHMS angle uploaded by Dave Gaskell. The shift workers should be able to use this table to provide starting values for the corrector currents when MCC executes the NPS sweeper setup procedure at a new configuration.
Future plans
- We need to stay at KinC_x50_2 production setting for the total 3 days of running.
- Moller measurement.
