What is the Hall C Wiki
A Wiki is a type of website that allows readers easily edit and add the pages content. Wikis have several advantages over "old-fashined" websites
- the markup language is much simpler than html
- editing is done right from the web browser
- all the changes are automatically tracked and stored
- wiki software prevents broken links - if a page is moved, all the links pointing to it automatically become redirects to the new location
The Hall C Wiki is for operational documentation. The information documented here may often change and the use of this Wiki will allow staff and users to easily keep this information up to date.

Basic Equipment
Data Acquisition
The Hall C data acquisition digitizes data from the drift chambers, hodoscopes, Cerenkov detectors and lead glass shower counters that are located in the HMS and SOS shield huts. This digitization is done with Lecroy fastbus modules located in 4 crates.
The ~2000 channels of drift chamber signals are discriminated and the times of hits on wires are recorded in fastbus crates located in each of the spectrometer huts. These times are digitized with Lecroy 1877 multihit TDC's with a resolution of 0.5ns.
