Detector checkout and calibrations

Additional instructions:

  • We run both the COIN and separate DAQs during this phase!
  • Inelastic measurement:
    • Take 5min of MODE 10 data before starting the the inelastic measurement, then switch back to MODE 9.
  • Coinc elastic:
    • Take 5min of MODE 10 data before starting the the inelastic measurement, then switch back to MODE 9.
    • Take pre-scaled 3/4 singles in both arms, set pre-scalers so the singles rate is <100Hz
    • This run needs a special temporary trigger that will be connected to PS5
    • Make sure sure PS5 = 0

Coincidence calibration

  • For mode 10 run: put HMS 3/4 + SHMS ELCLEAN into ps5, set DAQ to MODE10
  • For next runs: revert DAQ to MODE 9, keep trigger the same
  • When done with this measurements, revert ps5 to be HMS ELCLEAN + SHMS 3/4

    • Make sure to do at least one dummy run every shift
    • Make sure to do at least one 30min radiator-out run every shift
    • Make sure the production pre-scaler is set to 0
    • Take pre-scaled 3/4 singles in both arms, set pre-scalers so the singles rate is <100Hz
