Current Status

• Jack, Ethan, Steve and Joe working on HMS Q2.

• Summary of runs from last night:

1) x>1 optics study, Ep = -7.001, theta = 13.11 deg, normal tune: run 7170

2) x>1 optics study, Ep = -7.001, theta = 13.11 deg, F2 tune: run 7171

3) F2 yptar scan, Ep = -3.3 GeV, theta = 21 deg, normal tune: run 7172

4) F2 yptar scan, Ep = -3.3 GeV with theta = 19.85 deg, 21 deg, 22.15 deg, F2 tune: runs 7173@21deg, 7174@19.84deg, 7175@22.14deg

5) F2 positron run plan, 38 deg , Ep = +1.8 GeV: LH2 runs=7176, 7182; LD2 runs=7177, 7178, 7179; Al runs=7180, 7181

Current Run Plan

• If HMS Q2 is up, we start J/Psi:
• If HMS Q2 is back to normal: Coincidence elastics
• If HMS Q2 can only be set by Steve: Phase 1: high-E/low-t

• If HMS Q2 power supply still not running the magnet, proceed with F2 positron run plan:
• Keep ELCLEAN rate <5 kHz
• TO will need to adjust the cryo load between LH2 and LD2!
• Use the F2 tune to set the magnets: go_magnets_SHMS_F2

1) 33 deg, Ep = +1.7 GeV , ELCLEAN statistics = 10 K e+ on each target: LH2, LD2, Al dummy

2) 33 deg, Ep = +2.6 GeV , ELCLEAN statistics = 8 K e+ on each target: LH2, LD2, Al dummy

3) 25 deg, Ep = + 3 Gev, ELCLEAN statistics = 3 K e+ on each target: LH2, LD2, Al dummy

• If there is time, take more statistics!

• Sylvester's negative half of J/psi [1]

--> run at the last block of kinematics under "Setting scan" - 15 min per kinematic setting
