Current Status
- SHMS: 8 degrees, -9.2 GeV, 1x, 2x 1-7 off
- HMS: 20 degrees, -4.27 GeV (setting 5)
- 5pass beam, 30 to 60uA
Run Plan
- Continue data taking.
- MCC is planning (not scheduled) a beam current ramp rate test, up to 5uA/s for Hall C. Target expert (Silviu) said all targets are fine.
- Hall A pass change next week ( Monday the 31st ?)
- Short RF recovery on Thursday
Issues
- SHMS DC1 HV tripped. Shift worker was able to bring it up after a few trials. https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4068409 This trip seems to correlate with the high rate at SHMS. For future reference, we should run LH2 with <=50uA and LD2 <=30uA as long as SHMS is at 8 degree. https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4068405
- The HMS Dipole NMR readback fluctuated since this morning https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4068509
- HMS CODA crash (ROC3) https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4068495
Notes
- watch beam stability
- need more shift workers (always)
- SHMS rates high (~3k w/o PS), 6M events per run?
To do
- Install Q1 SHMS vacuum gauge (~3hr)
- calibrate SHMS Dipole LN2 valve during next access https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4064490. For now, monitor the ice accumulation if any https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4064528
- reboot or replace the SHMS angle camera https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4067528
- replace GEM gas bottle
- UNSER calibration
