Current Status
- Accelerator maintenance day.
- Opportunistic access for Hall C walkthrough, SoLID test (Jimmy et al), SHMS Q1 power supply check for the dead fan by Ellen, SHMS HB temperature sensor and ice accusation check on the SHMS by Heidi.
- Plan is to lock the linacs up around at the end of the shift.
- Positron data taking at HMS 35 degrees is complete. SHMS took electron data at -9.2 GeV and 10 deg with loose HV detector configuration parasitically.
- Finished setting 1 of high Q2 electron data taking in the HMS (-4.08 GeV and 35 deg). SHMS kinematics remains the same but some of the pre shower blocks are turned off.
- Started setting 2 of high Q2 electron data taking in the HMS (-3.57 GeV and 35 deg) during the owl. Data taking with 4He is half way through.
Current Run Plan
- Resume data taking at the setting 2 of high Q2 electron data taking with 3He, Al dummy, and 12C targets.
- 10 different HMS settings in total. Mostly with 3He, Al dummy, 12C, and 63Cu targets.
Notices in Effect for Shift Crew
- Beam current for the Helium targets is limited to 40 uA!
- Always let the RC know with questions and any issues that require expert help. https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4109412
Current Issues
- Accelerator issues to provide high beam current to Hall A and C.
- Lowering the Hall C current to reduce beam trips in a way the split between Hall A and C current is not in equitable way.
