Monday Status
- Hall was open till mid afternoon, advised we could expect beam in swing
- Jacob caught an error in the HMS Q3 current setting when he was ramping the magnets back up, excellent job! - Log Entry
- Did end up getting beam, physics quality from around 8pm
- Multiple SHMS Dipole interlocks cost us an hour - Log Entry
- Eventually finished off positive polarity just after midnight - Log Entry
- This went smoothly and took ~30 minutes, excellent job by the shift crew, despite being spooked by Hall A
- Took a look at rates, then took the PID leg run before starting some data taking
- Rates at 5uA
- Rates at 8uA
- Rates at 10uA
- Rates and DC Current at 6uA
- PID Leg runs are 12023, 12024 and 12025
- Improved timing cuts from Carlos have improved the tracking significantly Log Entry
Current Status
- Down due to Hall D startup work
- Should expect beam late evening/early morning
Current Run Plan
- Carry on with current setting once we get beam back
- Hopefully around owl shift tonight
Current Issues
- Ongoing low HGC light issue
- Light leak ruled out -Log Entry
- FADC Swapped out - Things still look the same, need to investigate some analyser related leads further - Log Entry
- Shift worker didn't see any appreciable difference from change
- Negative polarity data now being taken, should help shed some light on the issue
- Jacob did a quick look at electrons in the two SHMS gas cherenkovs - Log Entry
Planned Accesses to the Hall
- Controlled access from ~9am
- Joe B conducting a walkthrough at 11:00 - Will do target camera too if he can
- Unclear exactly when we should expect beam back at this point, hoping for an update from the PD later today
