Tuesday Status

  1. The refurbished breaker was installed around 4 pm yesterday, and the beam came back to the hall around 7:30 pm.
  2. We took around 11 hours of beam from Tuesday 7:30 pm to 6:30 am this morning we further increased the pion count to 4155.
  3. Maintenance item performed on Tuesday:
    • Walter and techs performed N2 pumping on the HMS transfer line.
    • Dave switched the leads on the fan, no change on the coolant flow was observed: https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3914000
    • Based on our request, the raster magnets were restored to the original four coil operation. Now we ask 2x2 raster to get a 2x2 raster: https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3913853
    • Tune mode generator fixed! (Maybe forever).
    • Greg target trained half a dozen people.

Current Run Plan

  1. Accelerator status
    • Accelerator maintenance ends at 4 pm. Beam back into the Hall at 6pm.
  2. Once the beam is here, resuming Q2=6 GeV left setting
    • FACDMODE10 data taken
    • Dummy target run daily.
    • 3300 pions (32% of the statistics with 52% of the charge)
  3. MCC whiteboard
  4. Rotation on Friday?

Current Issues

  • Target ladder camera was identified to be bad: Joe will purchase a replacement in the next funding cycle
  • Why did target draw so much coolant
    • Contact Chris Perry (Cryo engineer)
  • HCDESK1 computer still dead
  • Contact Ellen if there is an opportunity to access the hall (longer than 4 hours). This is for diagnosing the SHMS power supply.
