Summary

In our second meeting, we discussed which targets should be taken in the experiment, and whether there is enough time to take more targets.

Items Discussed

1. Dien will re-run simulation to get better estimates of rates, and determine whether we will have time to add more targets

2. PAC 45 Recommendation: Summary: The PAC recommends four days of running to determine the deviation of the 40Ca/48Ca cross section ratio from 1 (at x>1). The experimental results can be used to validate the contact formalism and isospin dependence of the np short range correlations. We believe the collaboration made a reasonable argument for pursuing the (e,e’p) measurements to investigate isospin dependence in the pn SRC as their highest priority. Comparison of 48Ca and 40Ca (e,e’p) should provide the clearest such measurement of the effect.
