Past 24 hours
Since the last update, we have been in the production phase with a reduced threshold (from 750 to 650). A few trigger tests were completed with the coin_sparse_low configuration, and the initial look is good for operating at a lower threshold and higher current. Feedback from MCC: Hall A at 45uA and Hall C at 35uA will cause issues. Hall A from this point on will be down for a while, we should think about profiting from running at a higher current.
In terms of data collection, it was an 80% day. 1084 mC of integrated charge collected. Crystals in the column 4 are seeing further degradation. Halfwave plated was taken out at 9:20 am today. We will continue production.
RC Summary

Current Status
- Production with the newly reduced two-photon threshold.
Near Future Plan
- We will perform a corrector coil beam steering test for the next angle setting with a non-zero corrector coil field.
- Wednesday, November 2, during the beam study, 7:00 beam stops, 7:30 a.m.: sweep the hall open for maintenance; Hall will enter restricted access at 8:00-8:15 a.m, and sweep close the hall at 16:00.
We will attempt the following maintenance items:
- NPS students will remove all PMTs + bases from column. Hall tech support is needed for this part.
- Two new bases with the low voltage regulator bypassed (verified) with be swapped into the NPS.
- NPS shielding installation if ready
- Heidi is looking into adding an additional bandit to ensure SHMS dipole stability.
- Chandan and Dave Mac will access and check the HMS hodoscope patch panel. to address this issue: https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4210267
- Aaron will push new code for the NPS chiller controller.
- Wednesday, Nov 1, 11:00 a.m.: We will invite Vald to give an insight into the high radiation test results.
I am sure the maintenance list will grow as we get closer to Wednesday.
