Instruction for RCs

• Half-wave plate change
  • Follow the instructions in the link above whenever the HWP is changed flipped.
• There was discussion of a heat and reactivation in the 08:00 meeting on 07/11/23.
  • If this happens, will need another Moeller measurement.

Past 24 hours

• Moeller measurement, took a bit longer than planned. An access was required, see Dave Gaskell's summary here.
• Back to production running after the Moeller measurement.

Issues:

• We will potentially have an access this morning to try and address block 497.
  • it looks like power cycling the VME crate for a different issue resolved this

Current Status

• Running production on KinC_x50_4' after.
• Access to investigate block 497.

Near Future Plan

In the near term future:

• Keep running the current setting.
• Wednesday Owl, beam studies from 05:00-07:45
  • We will do a cosmics run of ~2 hours with the sweeper on followed by another ~2 hour run with the sweeper off.
• On Wednesday, we will have ~8 hours or so to access the Hall during the maintenance downtime. Planned activities -
  • Heidi wants to take a look at the SHMS door after the issue on Wednesday.
  • Noisy block in Column 8, Row 22 - Take a look at if it still looks odd.
  • Wait to see if amplifiers will survive before replacing more bases.
  • Remove more bases - take another column out.
    • One column takes ~1-2 hours (to remove).
    • May have time to remove 2?
  • Measure B field at location of bases?
    • Gain vs x dependence.
    • Does sweep magnet have to be off to get near the NPS?
    • Any measurement has to be done with magnets on and before NPS moved to have any point.
• Asked MCC for a restricted access ASAP on Wednesday.
  • Radcon has us in the queue, the NL, SL and injector are all going to controlled so will have priority.
  • My suspicion is that we'll be swept around 09:00 with access possible 09:30-10:00.

Special Studies

• Cosmics with sweeper on vs off - Owl Wednesday
• Elastics on Thursday (09/11/23) or Friday (10/11/23)?
  • Need to decide on the plan for this before the access.
  • Affects where we leave the NPS when we lock up.

• Block 497 - problematic.
