Current Run Plan

Notices in Effect for Shift Crew

  • All shifts should come in as planned.
  • Heidi on vacation 7-13 Dec. Contact Steve L for cryo during that time.
    • cc Heidi & Steve Lassiter on any cryo logbook entry (fansler@jlab.org, lassiter@jlab.org)
  • Physically verify green led of gas flow and BCM temps in electronics room
  • Record HMS (electron) tracking efficiency from each 50K replay report

Current Issues

  • On call list seems incomplete and should be addressed by the Hall: https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4230495
  • We need other indications of this interlock. In Hall A, we have it shut off detector HV via the alarm handler, and we have a flow rate alarm. Seems the useful PV values have not been working since 1-Sept.
  • NPS PMT/Base failures are propagating into columns 9, 10, 11, 12
  • Calo Temp sensor interface failed yesterday around 16:30.

Planned Access to the Hall

  • perhaps opportunistic access Monday to disconnect some noisy signal cables to FADC from empty channels.

Planned Accelerator Configuration Changes

  • We will run until 07:00 Dec 15.
    • Target will be warmed up and parked.
    • Hall will remain in Controlled Access until 07:00 Dec 19
    • Beam studies (Day Shift) Dec 19 will send beam into hall
    • Hall will return to Controlled Access at 16:00 on Dec 19

Special Requests

  • Plan for Moller Dec 13 or 14 (single HWP setting)
  • Calorimeter energy resolution studies
    • Analyze pi0 mass resolution as a function of pi0 energy
    • Analyze pi0 mass resolution separately for high current and low current runs
