Planned Access to the Hall
Currently no planned access. In discussions about long access for NPS refurb next week.
Accelerator
Current schedule: It's a bit in flux. Hall B is surveying target and it is not clear if they will be ok to start running today yet. If all ok with target then they would start running later on in the day today. But if the target survey does not go ok, it may be over the weekend. Hall D will stop when Hall B comes online.
Next Wed is beam studies day MCC need to conduct beam studies that require sending beam to Hall C. These studies would be first, from 6 till 10 am, next Wednesday on the 20th March. Can we keep Hall C locked at the beginning of the Day shift on the 20th?
Run Plan
- We are cycling KinC_x50_0a and KinC_x50_0b production. We're now on the second cycle of the KinC_x50_0 short term run plan. We recently switched to the LD2 running in the a setting.
- When we change spectrometer angles to move to the b setting we are requesting the shift crew to request that MCC do the nps sweep and correctors tune procedure. If it is not possible, then we request that MCC post the beam spot on the dump viewer on the log book.
Requests for shift crew
- Please be sure to make screen shots as prompted in the run plan, eg first run of each new target cycle snapshot NPS scalers/anode currents, trigger rates, CODA data rate/livetime/event rate, as prompted in the run plan and of anything else appropriate that happens on shift.
Shift schedule
There are gaps in the shift schedule for SL starting from Monday swing. Please sign up if you can.
