Hall C Weekly Meeting - September 30, 2013

• Walter
  • Working on the anaconda. The pieces of the outer tube have been welded together and leak checked. Superinsulation is being placed on the inner tube.
  • Preparing for shipment of a LAD plane to ODU this week.
  • Thursday Blue Crab clean room dissassembly may be postponed until next Monday.

• Joe Beaufait
  • Spectrum panel parts, extra breakers, front panel, etc. are here and stored in the Mezzanine
  • Facilities is installing new laminate on the counting house control panel and desk surfaces.
  • One the PR is approved the painting console to be completed by the weekend in grey color

• Steve Lassiter
  • Eric Sun is working on the dipole finite element analysis
  • Paulo is working on the Compton drawings
  • Moller coils have been awarded
  • Dan is working on the decking and shielding behind the SHMS
  • A platform is being designed to access the SHMS shower counter. The SHMS will need to be moved to a specific angle in order to access the detectors from the platform.
  • Gary & Bert are taking over ast construction SOTR while Mike while is out.
  • The concrete floor of the SHMS counting house has been poured. The plywood forms for the walls are being placed.
  • Steve is analyzing field changes made to the SHMS Q1.

  • Larry Cardman forwarded information about the American Institute of Physics seeking applicants for their State Department Fellowship
