Weekend

• Saturday: solid data (after 2AM SHMS dipole trip)
• Sunday: SHMS Q3 tripped
  • Might be mass flow controller, which would be a "quick" fix.
  • Worst case scenario could be a blockage that requires warming the magnets up.

  • General idea: take 4–5 hours transverse data to get polarization up, then ~7 hours longitudinal

Moller & spin dance

• Finally took measurement today! (No spin dance)
• Moller + spin dance on Tuesday 2/4? Are there beam studies scheduled for 1/28?

Hall Access

• Thursday morning
  • SHMS Q3
  • EPR fiber bundle, maybe laser alignment
  • SAF112 walkthroughs with Joe at 9AM on Thursday
  • PSU (under pivot) for polhe3 rack camera and hcreboot5 needs to be manually power cycled [1]
    • "hcreboot5 has a number of the target controls on it as well [which?] so we won't be able to power cycle those remotely either until this is done." - Brad

Notices in Effect for Shift Crew

• Policy for CANS-related hall status change: Make a logbook entry when the hall goes in, or comes out of laser-controlled access.
  • Good examples for entering and leaving laser access.
• Magnet policies
  • HMS Q1 must be ramped down in 50A steps in all cases
  • Do not ramp HMS Q2 to zero, only go to 10A and then switch off power.
  • If SHMS dipole trips again, take a screenshot of the PSU window before resetting the interlock and post it to hclog.
• Inform the RC of any access that the Target Team requires. The RC will coordinate with RadCon to make everything run smoothly.
• The operators have been somewhat careful with our beam orbit locks. Please make sure that the orbit locks are enabled and the beam does not drift from its nominal position.
• Ramp rate lock instructions are here and added to checklist[2]
