keyword=SOS slop cutDave and I looked at the slop cut setting for the SOS calorimeter and found that it was set to 3 cm. The figure below is that of the delta_x in the SOS calorimeter. The first histogram shows the delta_x of the lowest momentum electron in the SOS for our experiment and the second is of the highest momentum electron. The vertical lines show where the slop cuts would occur if the slop cut was set at 3 cm and 7.5 cm. We can see that the 3 cm setting would cut too many good events. So we are setting the slop cut to 7.5 cm in order to prevent losing good tracks.
