keyword=New shielding configuration for test phototubes
Mat Muether (who is lead trained) propped up two pieces of lead in front
of the beam right set of Herbert's detectors. The two pieces are a 2.3
mm thick piece and a 1/16 inch thick piece. These shield the beam right
5 inch phototube that already had the bor-poly and a sheet of flex boron
around it. They also shield the 2 inch quartz phototube. Pictures are
attached below.
It should also be noted that the lead shields the phototube (but not the
lightguide or scintillator) of Herbert's paddle.
