At Lubomir's request, I've modified the behavior of the flag
"b_use_peds_in_hist=?" in the engine to the following:
>0 --> use pedestal events only, raw ADC value
=0 --> use signal events only, ped-subtracted ADC value
<0 --> use pedestal and signal events, raw ADC values.
