Swing Shift Summary 02/15/2011
Shift Crew:
SL: Nuruzzaman
TO: Vladas Tvaskis
Others: Jeong Han Lee, Don, D.Gaskell, A.Narayan, Jean-Francois Rajotte
Typical operating parameters during the shift:
I | uA | 150 |
Halo 3 rate | Hz/uA | 016 |
MDALLBARS width | ppm | 350 |
BCM12-ddif width | ppm | 122 |
A_q width | ppm | 680 |
MDALLBARS X-pos sensitivity | ppm/mm | 300 |
MDALLBARS Y-pos sensitivity | ppm/mm | 300 |
Incidents:
- 16.00: Starting swing shift with no beam.
- 16.14: Beam is OFF due to injector problem.
- 16.55: Escorted access. Andy et.al. for 3h09D valve problem.
- 17.20: Hall is back to beam permit.
- 19.44: Escorted access. Dave G et al. for Compton computer installation.
- 19.45: CODA crashed. Restarted CODA and rebooted all the ROCs. Worked fine.
- 20.30: Back to beam permit, started production run.
Issues may need to consider:
- Hall-C gate valve 3h09D having problem due to leak here.
- CODA crashed once.
- CODA Run controller shows different run # with HCLOG. Talked to Expert, fixed it. See details.
- COMPTON ROC 1 crashed CODA several times. Expert need to have a look at it.
- May need to change Ethane gas bottle!! Manifold seems a little low 250/68. (Although it was 300/50 during OWL).
Runs taken: 10060 - 10071
Production Runs:
10060 - 10071
- 10060: Target LH2; 150 uA; 3.5x3.5 mm; HWP=IN; FFB,FF,QTOR(8921A),MD,LUMI,HALO 3 & 4, BMOD=ON.
Comments: Not a proper production run. Beam was on at the beginning but went off within 1st couple of minutes.
- 10063: Target LH2; 150 uA; 3.5x3.5 mm; HWP=IN; FFB,FF,QTOR(8921A),MD,LUMI,HALO 3 & 4, BMOD=ON.
Comments: Production Run, looks ok.
- 10064: Target LH2; 150 uA; 3.5x3.5 mm; HWP=IN; FFB,FF,QTOR(8921A),MD,LUMI,HALO 3 & 4, BMOD=ON.
Comments: Production Run. Sensitivity does not showed anything. May be not a good run.
- 10068: Target LH2; 150 uA; 3.5x3.5 mm; HWP=IN; FFB,FF,QTOR(8921A),MD,LUMI,HALO 3 & 4, BMOD=ON.
Comments: Production Run, looks ok.
- 10069: Target LH2; 150 uA; 3.5x3.5 mm; HWP=IN; FFB,FF,QTOR(8921A),MD,LUMI,HALO 3 & 4, BMOD=ON.
Comments: Production Run, looks ok.
- 10070: Target LH2; 150 uA; 3.5x3.5 mm; HWP=IN; FFB,FF,QTOR(8921A),MD,LUMI,HALO 3 & 4, BMOD=ON.
Comments: Production Run, looks ok.
- 10071: Target LH2; 150 uA; 3.5x3.5 mm; HWP=IN; FFB,FF,QTOR(8921A),MD,LUMI,HALO 3 & 4, BMOD=ON.
Comments: Production Run, looks ok.
Pedestal Runs:
10066
- Comments: The analysis can be found here.
Injector Runs:
2172, 2173
- Comments: Also analyzed these runs.
Compton Runs:
20889 - 20901
- Comments: Photon det HV 1600 V.
DAQ Test Runs:
10061, 10062, 10067
- Comments: DAQ expert took these runs. Run 10067 was after fixing the run # discrepancy.
Analysis:
- Analysis during the swing shift for the runs 10063, 10064, 10068, 10069, 10070, 10071.
- Sensitivities using 100k events during the shift can be found here.
Comments:
- Charge feedback worked fine during the shift.
- OWL shift crew should change HW plate after few hours (If everything goes smoothly). I didn't change it as we missed couple of hours and had escorted acess twice. I already passed this information to next shift crew.
- Halo rates, beam current, charge asymmetry and Compton scint. rate for swing shift can be found here.
- Status of Hall-C gate valve 3h09D for swing shift can be found here.
