Current Status

• Pass change (5->4) completed yesterday.
• Carbon hole check ok: https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4026613
• Issues with SHMS dipole shortly after beam arrived: https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4026678

• Completed Q2=2.45 W=3.2, middle epsilon, SHMS center
• Started Q2=2.45 W=3.2, middle epsilon, SHMS left (achieved about 3/4 of reduced statistics goal) - VBV3H08 (big valve downstream of target) closed and would not open.

Current Run Plan

• Wait for beamline valve fix
• Rotate SHMS to 5.5 degrees
• Continue with Q2=2.45 W=3.2, middle epsilon, SHMS right
• Move on to Q2=3.85, W=3.07, low epsilon: SHMS right, center, left
  • Note: when rotating away from 5.5 degrees after SHMS right setting, will have to contact Steve Lassiter or Amy Comer to enable rotation
• Have MCC perform arc energy measurement when convenient (sooner is better)
• Beam off at 6:30 tomorrow for maintenance day

Notices in Effect for Shift Crew

• If all SHMS magnets crash at the same time, push the SHMS dipole crash button (on the rack above the target heater manual controls and target temperature readbacks).

Current Issues

• Downstream beamline valve
• Coffee maker broken! Emergency instant coffee in Counting House.
• Shifts filled until August 14 - then we have OWL shifts available up to August 19. Lots of openings August 20++.

Planned Accesses to the Hall

• Access today for valve repair and SHMS rotation
• Maintenance day still scheduled for Thursday - Controlled Access planned
• Aerogel change: if all goes extremely well, aerogel change could happen Friday. Otherwise, will take place Monday.

Planned Accelerator Configuration Changes

• Pass change (4->3) next week. Right now, on the white board for Tuesday, August 16

Special Requests

• Fix coffee machine, or replace.
