Current Status

  • Today
    • When beam comes back, continue with the run plan on Setting 2.
  • Yesterday
    • Changed to Setting 2 of HMS high x at 35 degrees at the start of swing shift.
    • Smooth running until 1L21 cavity dropping at 00:20, followed by PSS error
    • HCDESK 4 got bumped and logged out when we were messing with cables to get the TV screens back
      • Logged back to redhat as cdaq user and restored vnc and scripts with no problem.

Current Run Plan

  • Continue with Setting 2.
    • Are there any changes that need to happen to the run plan due to beam being down all night?

Notices in Effect for Shift Crew

  • Continue to fill out SHMS Excel Spreadsheet.

Current Issues

  • Hall C in restricted access due to PSS Error.
  • MCC investigating as to why the Energy Measurement failed so badly.
    • Email from Jay Benesch: "Beam should be about 2 mm sigma in the horizontal due to peak

dispersion. Beam line 22 mm ID, centroid horizontal offset only 1 mm so ten sigma should have sufficed."

    • Mentioned in meeting that they have changed the procedure to have 2uA tune beam when during certain parts of the measurement when possible (instead of 10uA).
      • (Said quite a few things that I didn't understand about some technical things).
    • We should continue to follow up with them to get the mystery solved before the next beam energy measurement.
  • What do we need to do for Monday?
    • Warm up target.
    • Power Down the magnets
    • Turn off HVs
      • Leave any on?
  • What do we need to do before we come back in January? (Is this meeting the place to take about it?)
    • Unser issues.
    • HDMI cables and adapters for the TVs that keep disconnecting.
