Minutes SHMS MC 3

Participants: Mark, Howard, Peter, John, Dave and Dipangkar

1. Work on validating the apertures of the dipole is in progress, Mark was able to get the latest drawings and things have changed some from earlier. Some confusion about the definition of effective length and optical entrance and exit was cleared up. The effective length is defined by the magnetic field turn on/off boundary. The dipole apertures are somewhat complicated by the transition pieces at the entrance and needs to be calculated with care. We should have this done in the next few days.

2. Dave is updating the COSY model to take into account the new info from Mark.
